The Saltires were split across the parklands of Surrey this weekend, as the Box Hill Fell Race and the Veterans AC Cross Country jointly kept the team busy.
The latter saw four Thames ladies out competing on home turf, with each scooping a medal for their efforts. Denise Barnett (24th overall), Vikki Filsell (29th) and Eibhlin Ní Bhrádaigh (67th) all claimed gold in their age categories, while Zoe Lynam (54th) took silver.
Over on Box Hill, meanwhile, a very different race was taking place. Nine Thames runners took on the gruelling 7.5-mile fell race course, with Club Captain James Hoad coming away with an overall bronze medal. The woman’s trio of Andrea Stehlikova (110th), Jemima D’Arcy (131st), and Jess Davies (139th) also managed to seal second place in the team standings.
