For the first time in recent years Thames were represented at the National 4 stage road relays held at Sutton Park, Birmingham on the 6th October. The ladies team came a fantastic 28th out of 64 complete teams.
The race consisted of 4 x 4.33km legs on a hilly course around roads in the park. Liz Stavreski had a good run in the very competitive first leg and handed over to Bethanie Murray who took advantage of the other teams front loading to work her way through the field. Lauren Major also managed to bring us further up the field before handing over to Vikki Filsell who brought us home in a great 28th place (17th Southern team).
It was brilliant to have Thames competing on the national stage and the Ladies will hopefully be back in Sutton Park in April for the 6 stage road relays.
