Thames was proudly represented this weekend by several of our intrepid athletes seeking glory at the Liverpool Cross Challenge. In the event of very high calibre, the team put on an impressive performance to battle through the mud.
In the senior women’s event, Ruby Woolfe continued her sterling season to clinch a hard-fought 48th place, with Claire Hammett finishing not far behind in 68th. There were also a few second-claim Saltires out on the course, with Niamh Bridson Hubbard finishing in a spectacular 18th place, and Ellen Weir running superbly to finish 10th in the junior women’s event.
Some of our second-claim men also put on impressive performances in Liverpool. Jack Millar finished 20th in the senior men’s category, while Tim Harrison had a great run to finish 78th.
