We started on Putney Embankment, hosted by Vikki Fisell and ended up at the home of Simon and Belinda Leathes on the southern edge of Wimbledon Common. In between, the 20 or so of us stopped off at the homes of Maureen Poole, Denise Barnett and Ian Higgins. All the hospitality was excellent and there is something special (nearly magical) about running across the Common in a large group with head torches having drunk several glasses of mulled wine and eaten a selection of Christmas treats.
We finished off at the Leathes’ with pizzas, even more mulled wine and the last carol. A wonderful evening and many thanks to David Symons for organising and to all the providers of traditional Thames hospitality.
