Paul Cheetham had an excellent run for 3rd place in 1.12.54. Anri Cohen, Andrea Stehlikova and Andrew Mcleod also ran well for 1.32, 1.39 and 1.47 respectively.

Thames goes to the seaside
This year’s Outlying Run was held at Swanage in the Isle of Purbeck. We were blessed by great weather, some wonderful coastal running, plenty of hills and the occasional castle. Plus the creature comforts of great accommodation and excellent food…
May’s Second Sunday 5
Joe Gale led home this month’s field of 79 runners including 14 Saltires. It was a beautiful day for running and big thanks, as ever, to our helpful team of eight pioneers and timekeepers. THH results below.
Thames leads the London Marathon (for the first mile)
Ten Thames men and ladies toed the line for this year’s London Marathon. Stars of the show were Richard Ollington – who put in a 4.30 first mile to mix it with the leaders – before settling in for a 2.34 showing. And Rebekah Edgar who who ran a brilliant first marathon to close in 3.05. In all we had four runners in under three hours with other great performances from the evergreen Jerry Watson (3h 10) and Toby Pearson (2h 41) and Gordon Perace (2h 37). Full draft results below.
