In the short score class, Christine & Andy Robinson finish 60th and Miriam & David Rosen 66th. Miriam & David received their 30- and 40-year badges respectively.

At Surbiton, Lucy Molden finished 50th in 11:25 and Edward Molden finished 108th in 17:08.
Match vs Milocarians and others, Sandhurst - 28/10/17
Twelve Saltires travelled to Sandhurst to take on Milocarians (and other clubs) at Sandhurst. It was an enjoyable day out with the sounds of gunshots and a tug-of-war going on near the finish line making a unique backdrop. The team performed very strongly, we narrowly lost to Milos by only 4 points with the captain and Jim Allchin ensuring the Thames vest was prominent at the front end.
BMAF Cross-Country Relays, Long Eaton - 28/10/17
Thames' V45 men's team duly completed a calendar year grand slam of BMAF titles by winning the cross-country relays to go with their road relay and cross-country team titles.

David Symons took 14th spot in 3hrs 20 on a stunning autumnal day in the South Downs.

At Surbiton, Lucy Molden finished 45th in 10:58 and Edward Molden finished 123rd in 17:20.
Match vs Kingston & Polytechnic Harriers, Sheen Cross - 21/10/17
Seven Saltires took part in the 5-mile match against Kingston & Polytechnic Harriers at Sheen Cross. Chris Rye led the team home in a fine second (30:50). He was ahead of Nic Gould in 3rd (31:29), Joe Chang 5th (32:26), Victoria Barthelmess 6th (32:27), Chris Hutber 7th (35:10), Anri Cohen 8th (36:02), Darren Selwood 9th (38:16) and Andy Robinson 11th (41:35).
Surrey Masters' Cross-Country Championships, Petersham - 21/10/17
Richmond Park was the scene of the action last weekend with the Surrey Masters Cross-Country Championships and the K&P 5 taking place on Saturday. Well done to all those who braved Storm Brian (both running and supporting). Ten Saltires took part in the event with much success: in the combined W/M60+ race Liz Stavreski was an impressive 4th overall taking the V40 bronze. There were further medals galore as Vikki Filsell took bronze in the V50 category, Denise Barnett bronze in the V45 category, Mike Farmery silver in the V65 and Anna Garnier went one better with gold for the V60. Alison Carpenter was 4th V55, Maddalaine Ansell 7th V45 and Rhodri Davies and James Foster 12th and 19th V60.

At Wimbledon Park, Seb Cockerell won in 7:57. At Surbiton, Edward Molden finished 103rd in 14:19.
Surrey League (ladies) Division 1, Round 1, Regiate - 14/10/17
The ladies started off the season with a fine victory by 75 points to SLH's 93 and Clapham Chasers' 118. Katy Hedgethorne led the team home in 4th.
Surrey League (men) Division 1, Round 1, Reigate - 14/10/17
The men started the season off in final style with victory at Reigate with 309 points to Hercules Wimbledon's 316 and Kent AC's 318. First home was captain James McMullan in 8th and he was followed closely behind by Paddy Roddy, making his Thames debut, in 10th.
